Spotlight Sam Doyle:
Sam joined MSCM in 2019 and enrolled onto the Engineering Standard cohort with Activate Apprentices. Sam attended weekly college classes combined with working at MSCM in the machine shop. Many assignments were written, observations recorded, job tasks complete supported also with mentoring and on the job advice from skilled team members helped Sam to achieve his apprenticeship early this year. Even through COVID Sam’s perseverance and the companies support meant Sam’s quest continued with his end goal in sight. Sam has now been with MSCM approaching 5 years and has moved into a Production Control role applying his shop floor and product knowledge daily.
Here at MSCM we have a good appreciation of the long-term benefits that apprenticeships can bring.
